- Keep track of when routine financial statements should arrive in the mail. Contact the issuing bank or company, if one doesn’t arrive.
- Review monthly statements to verify all charges.
- Never loan anyone your credit cards.
- If you do not recognize an invoice in an account or monthly statement, immediately contact the appropriate companies and change your access points.
- Request that all creditors contact you before they permit charges over a certain dollar amount or open any new accounts in your name
